Many countries and cities have announced lockdown, self isolation or quarantine either by appealing to their citizens or taking hard steps after the Coronavirus outbreak. Now the people are looking way to kill time or to even use this time for something better than just taking long naps.
While many people are happy to just be with their family and spend time with them, many are also following their passions of painting and cooking. So here are 7 things you can do if you are all alone in the house in this state of lockdown.
1. Organize your phone and computer.
While many professional make sure their computer and phones are always optimized and well organized, many other professionals and non-professionals don’t get enough time to organize things on your phone or computer too. In this quarantine time, you can go through your phones/computers to deleted unwanted files, organize important photos and videos in folders and clean up your systems and phones to optimize it.
2. Clean/organize your house.
Once you are done with your brain work to sort things on your phones and computer, it’s time to utilize your muscle power and clean the house and if it’s already cleaned, then maybe organize it in a better way. Use internet for more ideas on how to organize your closets, rooms and kitchen.
Feeling hungry after all the cleaning? Why not try to cook something or help your parents in the kitchen or simple make them rest while you work? You can learn since you and your parents everyone are at home during lockdown. If you live alone, then use the power of internet and add cooking in your skills list. If you are already a good cook, it’s time to experiment with new recipes but don’t waste food in the name of experiment.
Your phones, computers/laptops and your house… everything is cleaned, now it’s time to gain some knowledge. You can either study something about your profession or just any novel or book you always wanted to read or someone recommended you long time ago but you never got the chance. If you like a film adapted from a book or novel, you can read that as well.
5. Arts and Crafts.
Use this time to use your creative skills to make something out of junk and unused stuff in your house. Again you can use internet for more ideas. Or you can simply start sketching or painting, that you can do with a painting kit if you have available or simple a pencil or pen and paper. You can look on Internet for some inspiration to draw or paint with the tools you have available.
6. Get healthier and fit.
Use this time to make yourself more healthy and fit. You can workout at home using your household items (look on internet for more inspiration and advice) or simply do yoga. There are many yoga tutorials available on YouTube.
7. Become a blogger or vlogger.
If you have internet access, you can easily use this quarantine time to write blogs or make vlogs. You can use Google’s blogspot for blogging, and YouTube or Instagram for vlogging. Like many celebrities have become more active on social media to interract with their fans while Instagram models and actors are also sharing more content and sketch videos.
